A new domestic shoe for Hungary
Scotland surprised Hungary and won the control between the two teams in Budapest with 1:0. This was the first victory for coach Alex McLeish in his second run of the bagpipes. The success came Matt Phillips in the 48th minute with his debut on the national team. Hungarians again disappointed when they lost home from Kazakhstan a few days ago. Georgie Leekens` lineup did not create much, and the Scots counter-attacked dangerously. In the 40th minute, Ryan Frazier was fouled in the penalty area and the referee pointed to the white point, but Charlie Mulgrew missed the penalty. However, the guests did not reach the goal shortly after the start of the second half. The attack drew on the right flank, and none of the defenders in Hungary cleared the ball that came to Phillips. West Bromwich striker put his left foot and made Peter Guyashi helpless.
